What do you install?

Skylights and roof windows of every kind: flat glass rooflights, roof lanterns, Velux pitched roof windows, sun tunnels and roof window blinds. We also lay EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass flat roofs, so the roof around a new rooflight can be done by the same team.

Do I need planning permission for a skylight?

Often not. In England, rooflights usually count as permitted development if they stick out no more than 150 mm from the roof slope and sit no higher than the top of the roof. Listed buildings, conservation areas and flats have different rules, so check with your council first. A new opening that changes the roof structure usually needs building regulations approval as well.
