Roof window and Velux blinds, supplied and fitted
Velux blinds made to fit your windows: blackout for bedrooms, roller and Venetian for living spaces, and solar blinds with no wiring.
A roof window lets in a lot of light, which is exactly why it needs a good blind. We supply and fit Velux blinds made to the size of each window, for bedrooms, lofts, kitchens and living spaces, across Esher, Kingston, Surbiton, Surrey and London. We fit them with new windows or to the windows you already have.
The blinds we fit
- Blackout blinds block almost all light, for bedrooms, nurseries and loft rooms with early morning sun.
- Duo blackout blinds combine a blackout blind and a pleated blind in one frame, so you can filter the light by day and black out at night.
- Roller blinds soften the light and cut glare, in a wide choice of colours.
- Venetian blinds tilt to direct the light, which suits kitchens and bathrooms.
- Pleated blinds filter light softly and suit any room.
Manual, electric and solar-powered
Most blinds are worked by hand or with a rod for windows that are out of reach. Electric blinds run with electric windows. Solar-powered blinds have their own small solar cell and battery, so they work by remote on any suitable window with no wiring, which makes them a neat way to shade a window high above a stairwell or a vaulted ceiling.
On our Esher job we fitted two solar blinds alongside two new solar-powered windows, each worked from its own remote.
Getting the right blind
Velux blinds are made to fit exactly, so the first thing we need is the type and size code from the window’s data plate. Send us a photo of it, or we can check when we visit. If you are having new Velux windows fitted, we can supply the blinds at the same time.

Questions we are asked
How do I know which blind fits my Velux window?
Every Velux window has a data plate, usually on the frame at the top when you open the window, showing its type and size code. That code tells us which blinds fit. If you cannot find it, we can check when we visit.
What is the difference between blackout and Duo blackout blinds?
A blackout blind blocks almost all light, for bedrooms and nurseries. A Duo blind pairs a blackout blind with a pleated blind in one frame, so you can soften the light by day and black the room out at night.
Can solar blinds go on a manual window?
Yes. A solar blind has its own small solar cell and battery and works by remote, so it does not need the window to be electric or any wiring in the ceiling.
Do you fit blinds to older Velux windows?
Usually. Velux makes blinds for most of its windows, including many older ones. Very old windows may need a particular blind, or may be worth replacing, and we will tell you which after checking the data plate.
Where we fit them
From our base in Surbiton we work across the KT postcodes, Surrey and London.
